About

I write fiction, memoir, and creative nonfiction — often with humor, often set in places that shaped me, from Morocco to the American Midwest.

I’m currently pursuing an MFA in Fiction Writing at Boise State University (expected 2028). I hold an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric from Eastern Illinois University, where I received the Distinguished Graduate Student Award and graduated with a 4.0 GPA (2025), and an M.S. in Community Development from Illinois State University (2017). My undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Political Science from Brigham Young University (2014).
